Wine of the Month Club

Each month our staff will choose two to three wines exclusively for our club members. They will vary from country, style, and varietal. An extensive information sheet will accompany the wines including: menu ideas, serving suggestions, history of the grape, vineyard and region, recent accolades and other interesting facts. The monthly cost will be approximately between $25.00 and $35.00.


The wine will be available for pick-up in the store at the first of every month. Delivery is available in Anderson Township for a $4.00 fee. Outside of Anderson Township within the 275 belt, delivery is available for $8.00.

This Month's Selections

Framinigham Classic Riesling 2001
Marlborough, New Zealand

Located in Renwick, Framingham Wine Company was formed in 1994. Framingham Riesling is their flagship wine, modeled after the white Alsacian wines of Eastern Europe.

This Riesling is a pale straw color. The bouquet has intense citrus notes, especially limes. Supporting aromas of honey and ginger make this one of the most aromatic wines we've had the pleasure of offering to the club.

A medium bodied wine, this one is made in the off-dry style. The richness of ripe fruit sits well with the juiciness of cool climate acidity. This is an ideal "stand alone" drink. This wine will be drinkable for the next three to five years.

Vega Sindoa El Chaparral 2000
Bodegas Nekeas

This lovely wine from Spain is made from 100% Grenache.

The parcels of land that these grapes come from the locals call Chaparral, which is an area of high bushes made up of Chapparros, the common name for a type of Spanish oak tree.

Robert Parker, "Wine Advocate", says of this wine; "It displays a deceptively light ruby color as well as crisp, light to medium bodied flavors reminiscent of kirsch liqueur and cherry jam." He awarded it 87 points, which is a very high score for a wine under $10.00
