Wine of the Month Club
Each month our staff will choose two to three wines exclusively for our club members. They will vary from country, style, and varietal. An extensive information sheet will accompany the wines including: menu ideas, serving suggestions, history of the grape, vineyard and region, recent accolades and other interesting facts. The monthly cost will be approximately between $25.00 and $35.00.
The wine will be available for pick-up in the store at the first of every month. Delivery is available in Anderson Township for a $4.00 fee. Outside of Anderson Township within the 275 belt, delivery is available for $8.00.

This Month's Selections
We've decided to visit
some old friends this month. Most of you are probably familiar
with Ravenswood Winery from Sonoma. Best known for their production
of Zinfandel, for fun, we thought we'd see how they were doing
with some other varietals. The Chardonnay and Merlot are part
of the Vintners Blend Series. They believe at Ravenswood that
wine needs to be removed from its pedestal and placed on the
dining room table.
Ravenswood 2000 Vintners Blend Chardonnay
The 2000 Vintners Blend Chardonnay, produced from bright,
vibrant, predominately Monterey fruit, is delightfully approachable
with aromas of citrus, fruit and spice…with a touch of oak.
On the palate, the wine is rich with subtle flavors of peaches
and apricots, beautifully balanced with nice acidity. The
long finish is characterized by citrus and vanilla notes.

Ravenswood 2000 Vintners Blend Merlot
With the Vintners Blend Series, a touch of the traditional
to crowd pleaser category is emphasized. Sourced from a variety
of wine-growing regions through Northern California, the 2000
Merlot is, without question, the best ever. It is bright,
with a medium ruby color and lively aromas of cherry, plum
and a hint of herb. Ten months maturation in French oak has
complemented and rounded the red fruit flavors contributing
notes of smoke, vanilla and spice. While the tannins are moderate
and the flavors immediately attractive, some additional short-term
bottle age - perhaps 2-3 years - will reveal subtleties and
complexities beyond that of a youthful fruit.
